On the outside, I’m Beth Clark: Writer and Content Strategist with a life sciences, e-commerce, and financial marketing background and graphic design roots. I love sending CX, UX, and DX on play dates, then analyzing the metrics. I slay digital and analog chaos with my organizavision. Besides words, innovation and problem-solving are my forte. My voracity for learning and sense of wonder have light years left in them. They are what fuels my fierce love of travel andsprings me out of bed most mornings. (Along with the 60,000 starlings living in the giant cypresses outside my window.)

On the inside, I’m Beth Clark, unicorn with Vulcan logic, an untamed sense of adventure, and a fierce passion for travel. I also have mad Scrabble skills, a dark sense of humor, a vivid imagination, fluctuating fluency in Italian, and a pink Fender Stratocaster. I’m a relentless optimist trying to make the world a little better as navigate life with grit and grace. I’m from Seattle, but il mio cuore è Italiana, so I was home the first time I set foot in Italy. (There will be none of that “Eat, Pray, Love” shit here…reality makes for better stories.)

As an introvert who works remotely, I live in my head a lot, so by the time I say a thing out loud, I’ve explored all possible outcomes, done a SWOT analysis, developed a strategy, and decided to do it. Via tenacity and miracles, what I set out to do happens 96% of the time, albeit rarely how I envision it will. I don’t always stick the landing on my dismounts, but I’m always stronger and wiser for it when I land askew, and it frequently gives rise to some unexpected comedy.

INTJs are the “conceptual planners” of the official Myers-Briggs world thanks to our strategic but imaginative way of thinking. (Also known as the “architects” and “masterminds” by knock-off personality tests.) We’re pragmatic enigmas who are quirky, analytical, decisive, honest, efficient, creative, funny, direct but kind, and exceptional problem-solvers. As eternal optimists driven by logic and sarcasm, originality is our forte. And since only 2.2% of females globally are INTJs, we’re also the rarest MBTI type. We live on the leading edge whether we want to or not.

For context, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Michelle Obama, Stephen Hawking, Bobby Fischer, C.S. Lewis, Nicola Tesla, Isaac Newton, Isaac Asimov, Lewis Carroll, Charles Darwin, John Nash, Sigmund Freud, Friedrich Nietzsche, Emily Brontë, Jane Austen, Augustus Caesar, Jay-Z, and JFK are also INTJs. So while our default comfort zone is being Oz behind the curtain, we clearly get stuff done.

The Bethiverse is about what I do, the things I love (gelato and plane tickets), and my life trajectory. (Dog lady drinking chianti on a sunny Italian terrazza.) If you like what I’m about, grazie! (And follow me on Instagram.) If I’m not your fave, that’s okay. If you’ve never felt compelled to see the world or take a leap of faith, there’s no time like now.
